"You have a goal, and you pursue it" – Interview with Lisanne in 't Veld
Brackmann is celebrating its 20th anniversary. To mark this milestone, we are sharing the stories of our team members. Meet Lisanne in 't Veld, who has been with our firm as a legal assistant since August. In addition to her role, she is pursuing a law degree at Tilburg University.
Lisanne, you’ve been with the firm for a few months now. What’s your first impression of the organization?
Very positive, there’s a pleasant and open atmosphere. In the first few weeks, I was thrown into the deep end, which was actually nice as it got me involved in the substance of the work quickly. In addition to focusing on the work itself, there’s also room for personal exchanges.
What insight have you gained that you think is characteristic of Brackmann?
They really go all the way. All possibilities and perspectives are explored, and they continue until what’s necessary is achieved, always in the best interest of the case. That gives me a good feeling as well: You have a goal, and you pursue it.

To perform at the highest level, how do you ensure that you stay both physically and mentally fit?
When I do something I’m passionate about, I draw energy from it. This is definitely the case in my work. Having time for relaxation outside of work is also important to me. Physical exercise, and consistently doing it, helps me to be much more effective mentally; I box weekly. Additionally, I value having good relationships with colleagues. The mutual respect in the office definitely contributes to our performance.
The office is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. How do you view the future of Brackmann?
Over the past 20 years, Brackmann has built a strong reputation. This year, the service offering has expanded. In my view, we should further promote this growth and our good reputation. We have a lot to offer and can be of great value to our clients.
