In celebration of Brackmann's 20th anniversary, we are sharing the stories of our people. Meet Alexander Klein Hofmeijer, lawyer and partner at Brackmann.
Alexander, you have been with Brackmann for about 8 years now, and as a partner, you help shape the firm. How do you fulfill this role?
What defines me in my work is my constant pursuit of connection. I find it important to build and maintain a strong relationship between client and lawyer. Additionally, I focus on the internal organization. This year, we’ve made significant progress as an organization. We moved to a new office location, expanded into construction law, and grew in size. While the work demanded these changes, they didn’t happen automatically. Ultimately, our team is the decisive factor. For me, open and clear communication is essential.
You mentioned Brackmann’s growth. What does that mean for the future?
As a firm, we are increasingly looking outward. The content is naturally our foundation. By staying connected with our clients and the outside world, we can better respond to their needs and continue to develop ourselves. In the near future, we expect growth in size and related legal areas, but we will remain true to our core values. In that sense, you could say that our growth is closely tied to our way of working. Clients trust us for our expertise and value us for our approach.

Content is the foundation, but excelling in it is not enough. How do you ensure you perform at the highest level day in and day out?
By never standing still. In my spare time, I’m very dedicated to Hyrox. It’s a great comparison to work. Hyrox is high-intensity, and you need mental strength to perform at your best. Even when everything is asked of you physically, you have to keep going and not give up. Additionally, my family and sense of purpose are important aspects that provide me with energy and fulfillment.
2024 is a great year for Brackmann to reflect on and look ahead. How do you look to the future?
My personal ambition is to further develop as a leader, where I can use my qualities and strengths to benefit the office and the team. And thus, also our clients. I am extremely proud of where we are now and how we’ve achieved it. At the same time, we are ready for the future.
